Case Study: 1.6m Ejen Ali Exhibition Statues in 14 Days
· general
The Project
For a nationwide movie premiere cinema activation across Malaysia, our team was tasked with creating life-size (1.6m tall) character statues of Ejen Ali. The timeline? A highly aggressive 14 days before the public premiere.
The Engineering Challenge
Printing a 1.6m tall statue is not just about having a large printer; it is about logistics. How do you transport, assemble, and safely display a massive statue in a high-traffic public cinema?
Our solution was Modular Design. We engineered the 3D files to be printed in structural, interlocking segments. This allowed us to:
1. Print multiple pieces simultaneously across our printer farm to hit the 14-day deadline.
2. Ensure the structural integrity of the joints so the statue could withstand public interaction.
3. Easily transport the dismantled pieces to the cinema and assemble them rapidly on-site.
The Result
The statues were a massive hit at the premiere, providing a highly photogenic centerpiece for fans. The modular design meant delivery and installation were entirely stress-free.
